After Palos Horns

After a year in office the first woman president in Costa Rica, it is no secret that the nation perceived outcomes are few or none. Many flavors without leaving this first period, and perhaps too early to say that the job is too big but what is certain is that the results are not seeing. What's more, the Legislative Assembly on historical fact, begin to be governed by the "Opposition" and this is the issue I would mention in this space.

The plenary has been dominated over the past 5 years for National Liberation and since then nothing has walked: no tax reform, there is no better budget for education, no reforms in security, have not even been able to draw an acceptable traffic law. And without wishing to blame the political party because it is composed not only them, but I feel that much of this lethargy that have gotten us is so eager for power, egos, and proud legacy of some leaders Betis.

But now things have changed, and it's up to the "opposition" with a board chaired by the PAC, show that there are more of the same, they are there because they want to create a political climate that allows for better governance, with a desire to negotiation and especially to encourage the country's productivity, support to farmers, working class and SMEs are the backbone of the Costa Rican economy.

It is true that this new stage of Congress may bring more headaches to the government, they have to sit down and negotiate in order to process the projects that are of interest and to fulfill their campaign promises, but perhaps in this aspect is that we get to see the true leader that everyone wants to have as President, and on the other hand, it is time for the non-traditional parties (I mean the CAP and the Libertarian Movement in specific), we show its true form of government, to negotiate their how to behave with power in their hands, so that Costa Ricans know if more of the same, and who takes and if everything goes well we can do in 4 years a leader of these parties taking place in Zapote.
