Why do you blog?

Do not you ever wondered "Why Blog"?

I used to take singing lessons. I went for 5 weeks and for reasons that will not go into here I had to stop. I recorded each session and throughout the week I play and practice the lessons with the tape. My instructor kept saying I was getting better, although I could not tell the difference.

Well, after I stopped taking lessons, I was so disappointed I stopped practicing. More than 6 months after I stopped, on a whim I started practicing again. I made it through two lessons before I was completely breathless.

What does this have to do with blogging?

Why is your blog? Because I feel like singing? Because when I sing in church (the congregation) I want to play the best I can. In order to get that I had to sing or play properly _consistently_ lessons were a waste of time. When it's done on a dare, or simply to try, so no matter how many times I practiced.

Do you blog just for your thoughts out there? Then it does not really matter how often your blog. Do you blog to share relevant information, as a fan club? Then you'd still blog often you discovered something new, but I would not wait until it was old news, you'd want to blog about it immediately.

Do you blog to attract traffic and build your business? Then you need to blog regularly and frequently. Some people say every day, others have said a couple of times a week. My recommendation is: "when you have something worth sharing."

For a business that can not afford to blog just for a whim. Even though there is nothing wrong with sharing a certain amount of personal information, this is your business, not your diary. If you do not want to air your "dirty laundry" that you want to share things that will help people who are interested in your business topic.

If your business is the sale of supplies pet poodle, so your personal data should have something to do with poodles in a way or form. Your colleagues are there for fans of poodle poodles, not you.

I shared because I learned to sing (was remembered) of something and it is both relevant and worth sharing. I learned that if I really wanted to improve my singing then it must, must continue to practice even if I only have 5 classes. Can not afford to let my personal disappointment stop me, I will never improve in this way.

Frankly, I was embarrassed to the point of feeling ashamed that I have exhausted the air so quickly. But this is what will happen in your business if you do not blog the way it should. If your blog very often, do not get much business, and you may lose some '. If your blog a lot, but it is longer than a personal line along your business you also will keep business.

You need to be on a constant lookout for information relevant to blog about or find relevant articles to put in your blog (please leave the resource box with the article).

Be honest. How can you be serious about your business if they are constantly learning and finding things to improve your company? Whether it's learning a new way of doing something (or at least learn another way how not to do something) or increase the database of frequently asked questions or check the latest gadgets and more are expected to be active in your business.

Blogging is all about sharing what you have learned. If all I wanted to do was check out what they were like singing lessons, then no matter that I stopped. If I wanted to improve, or at least maintain the level of knowledge that I had reached, then I had to keep practicing.

So why a blog?

After answering this question for you then you will know how important (or unimportant) to blog regularly, often and relevance.

There is an answer, it all depends on the purpose of your blog. But if you want to talk about personal things and things of that kind of business then do yourself a favor and have two different blogs. After all, your business and personal life should be separate.

Keep doing what your company needs, and soon, we'll sing the high notes.
