20 Benefits of the Practice of Yoga - Part 1

(Article 1 of 2)

Dr. Timothy Mc Call presented a paper in which listed the benefits of Yoga. And certainly there are neither one nor two but many. To summarize his contribution we have synthesized 20 (here we offer the top 10) although each can stand out more for him who have been most significant because it has been a most beneficial change in their personal time. RECOMMENDATION: Never replace medical care and supervision by the Yoga!

Karuna Yoga Center From Oviedo Asturias we offer this thought:

1 .- Flexibility: One of the first benefits and may be most obvious to all. Be achieved through proper alignment of all segments and overcoming muscle contractions.

2 .- MUSCULAR RELAXATION: Yoga to produce contraction and then relaxation helps the body to reach the two ends of a more defined. The body understands the difference: contraction and then relaxation. So that no contraction is equivalent to relaxation.

3 .- IMPROVEMENT OF CONNECTIVE TISSUE: The yoga postures are done they get commission, ligaments, fascia and other connective tissue that was not being used and was shrinking. In this way it stretches and gets them back to good state.

4 .--FORCE STRENGTH: With muscle contraction and muscle relaxation finds its optimum performance and is available to come into tension only when needed. This power also extends to the inner attitude toward life which we call strength.

5 .- ALIGNMENT OF THE BACK: The part of the body on which most affects. One of the benefits about it is that returns to its proper alignment posture giving a good fit.

6 .- IMPROVED CIRCULATION: When different parts of the body flex open and close the various bodies getting out the venous blood and oxygenated blood to go back to the organs thereby improving oxygenation.

7 .- lymph flows more aggressively, not less important than the blood is flowing lymph rid of the biological remains of cell function.

8 .- BLOOD PRESSURE REDUCTION: People with hypertension have reported that the practice of yoga has yielded a significant reduction in blood pressure measurements. Without ignoring the medical surveillance, the practice of yoga can give us to be within the limits of health.

9 .- A POINT MAKES THE HEART: The practice of yoga gets lower blood pressure and heart just working a lot less to get to send oxygenated blood throughout the body. The practice of yoga often entail a reduction in heart rate while increasing their strength and increases the oxygen supply.

10 .- stress reduction. By reducing the feeling of being in danger, the adrenal glands fail to secrete the stress hormone (cortisol). Thus, the body goes into greater serenity to face life from a calmer attitude, with the reassurance that we know that "we are not in danger"

In daily practice in our Yoga Center in Oviedo observe the achievement of these and many other benefits.
